Welcome to Sycamore Class, we are Year 1 and Year 2!

Our learning this half term:

This half-term our topic focus is London's Burning. This is a topic with a history focus where we will be will exploring The Great Fire of London through videos, stories and Samuel Pepys' diary. We will also be focusing our English writing on this topic.

In Science this half-term, we are looking at Everyday Materials and children will be able to identify the properties of many different materials.

Our ART focus is learning our primary and secondary colours and focusing on how we can make our secondary colours by mixing different paints together.

In computing, children will be learning to use computer systems to recreate art in the style of different artists.

Our PSHE focus this half-term is Health and Wellbeing. Children will continue to understand their feelings and learn new ways to look after themselves and their wellbeing.

In RE this half-term we are learning how we should care for others in the world and why it matters. The children will also think about how we can care for the world that we live in and why it is important.

Our PE days this half-term are Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure you come to school in PE kit on these days.
