Hazel Class
Welcome to Hazel Class - we are the Year 5's and Year 6's at Morton Primary!
Miss Allen is the teacher in this class. Mrs Brown and Miss Kershaw are the teaching assistants that support us.
Our learning this half term:
Our topic focus is Blitz Street - we are learning about World War Two.
In History, we are learning about what the Blitz was and the effect that it had. We are learning about how children were evacuated from cities to keep them safe. We are learning about how Morton was affected during WW2.
In Science, we are learning about electricity. We are learning about symbols and how these are used in circuit diagrams. We are learning about how brightness and volume link to the number and voltage of cells used in a circuit.
In PSHE, we are focusing on the changing body. We will be looking at the physical and emotional changes that happen during puberty.
In D&T, we will be creating an electrical system. We will be using a functional circuit within a product and incorporating a motor.
In Spanish, we will be focusing on World War Two.
In Computing, we will be creating our own games.
In RE, our focus question is 'What matters most to Christians and Humanists?'
We are focusing on swimming and handball in PE this term.

Useful information:
PE day - Wednesday
Children should come to school in their school PE kits on PE days. PE uniform includes the following:
- Black/grey shorts, leggings or joggers
- White or team coloured t-shirt
- Plain black/grey/navy sweatshirt or hoodie
- Trainers/plimsolls
